The wind howling outside the (purple) donger as I write this, the tail-end of one of the huge weather systems that has been causing so much grief in poor old SA over past weeks. Because these systems have been swinging overland and whacking into us from the north-west, we’ve been let off lightly. The Dandenongs tucks in nicely in the lee of the Macedon Ranges on these occasions, so the people to the far side of that area have been copping it instead. And I know one or two of those people and I hardly dare ring up and ask how they’re going!
But the weather must stop and the sun come out and I’m sure this will happen exactly in time for a project Valerie and a team of her friends have been working on all winter. Blow me down, the Secret Gardens of the Dandenongs Ranges coach tour are back on again! Those coach tours from two or three years back! They were pretty good then, and this time around, courtesy of Valerie and Mary and the others, they are going to be splendiferous.

At this point, I will shoosh-up, and attach the amazing, mouth-watering, and positively extraordinary itinerary for your perusal. All I can suggest is, get the message out, gather friends, garden-loving neighbours, odd people from the super market queue who one chats to just occasionally, everyone, and let them know!
